The original Bridgeton Covered Bridge built in 1868 was destroyed by arson in 2005. The Bridgeton community and Parke County rallied and an exact duplicate of the original bridge was built in 2006. The bridge is a 261 foot, Burr-arch Truss, double span covered bridge spanning Big Raccoon Creek at Bridgeton, Indiana.
